"BST’s got 60 HD TVs, so you can bet on being able to catch any game here, or get your own game on at the Underground Social, Blake Street’s basement game room where you’ll find entertainment in the form of darts, skee-ball, foosball, and more. Still not convinced? Try the green chili which kicks up the heat just enough and is perfect with a pitcher of cold beer."

"The winner and still the chomp! Blake Street Tavern blew us away last year with its menu, which includes not only sports-bar staples such as burgers, wings and sandwiches, but some of the best green chile in town. And with the addition of the Underground Social, which converted the vast basement space into a big game room with its own bar filled with craft beers alongside the usual bottled suspects, there are more places than ever to score great food and drink. Bonus points for the private rooms, where your group can give Blake Street's dishes — and, yes, the sporting events on its big TVs — the attention they deserve."

"Best Sports Bar for Playing Games"
Best of Westword 2013

Three years ago, the Blake Street Tavern moved from the modest warehouse spot it had occupied for almost seven years to a massive space a block south, with a great back patio, a big bar, an ambitious kitchen, an arcade area and plenty of room to watch games — or just the people around you. And now bigger is becoming even better. Blake Street is moving its arcade area to the basement — which is almost as huge as the first floor — where it will offer bocce, cornhole, shuffleboard, Skee-Ball, basketball, leagues and other fun activities, as well as a bar that can accommodate two dozen beers on draft. That will cement Blake Street's reputation as not only one of the town's best sports bars for watching games, but definitely the best sports bar for playing games. ~ Westword

Blake Street Tavern Review – February 2016

Thanks to Denver Party Ride for their kind review:

One of the absolute premier bars in all of Denver is without a doubt the Blake Street Tavern. Since 2003, it has drawn people from all ages with its games, decorations, drinks, sports, mini arcade, pool tables, board games, shuffleboard and more. They also have won numerous awards over the years and gained the respect of people from all over the country. Blake Street Tavern has the kind of atmosphere where you can feel at home and be yourself. A place where you can get your drink on as well as stay completely entertained all night. That’s what we are all looking for in a bar right?

The Space
Blake Street Tavern is gigantic in size. We’re talking 18,000 square feet here with multiple floors containing a range of activities on each. You walk in and immediately get to choose between going upstairs or downstairs. The upstairs is more of a restaurant with top of the line food and the basement appears to be where the majority of the gaming action happens. Both levels also feature wrap around bars with seating for at least 40 people. You can’t go wrong going either up or down in this place, both are equally entertaining in different respects. The upstairs section contains a lot of the video games and pool tables, flat screen TV’s for watching your favorite team and access to an outdoor patio. Blake Street Tavern has a subscription to all the games across the country on any given day. If you are a fan of some random small town team and want to watch the game then chances are Blake Street Tavern will have it on when you walk in! Interested in a private party here at the Tavern? They do that all the time! I mean, who wouldn’t want to rent out an 18,000 square foot space for a corporate event or 40th birthday party? How fun that would be to have all your friends enjoying your special occasion while enjoying activities all around them!

The Food and Drink
Blake Street Tavern has a huge menu full of delicious choices. It’s not typical bar food either. They have things like Philly Cheesesteaks and a whole slew of burgers to choose from that will make you come back for seconds! In most establishments that feature a lot of games, you can expect the normal bar food like mozzarella sticks and some cheese fries or something along those lines. Blake Street Tavern boasts a full menu that rivals most upscale restaurants. Just check out their menu when you get there. They have entrees suitable for lunch and dinner available to you from open to close! They offer a ton of specials on a daily basis as well so be sure to check them out here for the latest and greatest. If you live close by, they even deliver! How cool is that?

The games
Blake Street Tavern has tons of games for you to enjoy while sipping on a cold one. Don’t worry about whether or not they have your particular bar game at this place because they most likely do. They have skeeball, Buckhunter arcade game, cornhole, darts, billiards, Jenga, giant Jenga, board games, connect 4, beer pong, table tennis, shuffleboard and more. They have everything anybody or any group of people could want in a bar. Imagine drinking with your buddies and being able to compete in any bar game possible. It’s a dream come true! Blake Street Tavern is also one of the absolute best places to go for a first, second, or even third date as well. I mean, what are you looking for in a date anyway? A place to get to know someone right? A drink and fun games will get you both loosened up and ready to have a great time together.

The Atmosphere
When you are at the Blake Street Tavern you have nothing to worry about when it comes to the atmosphere. The place gets packed a lot but everyone seems very down to earth and mellow plus there is plenty of space. Remember the 18,000 square feet? There are a lot of regulars and out-of-staters that come in there on a daily basis. It’s a great place to really meet people and have a good time. They also cater to a bunch of alumni groups that gather there just to reunite with good friends. Why do they choose Blake Street Tavern? Well, it’s because this bar makes them feel at home. Its atmosphere just brings people together. They have also won a number of prestigious awards recently in the sports bar section from big time media outlets which you can read about above.

The Location
The location of Blake Street Tavern is perfect. Most people who don’t live in the Denver area will access it from the I-25 and once you exit onto Park Avenue, you are basically there. There is a ton of parking in front of the bar, to the side, and street parking as well. It’s located right in the heart of the sought after LoDo district in Denver. There are a ton of bars nearby if you want to bar hop as well. Need some food after a night of drinking? There are also a ton of very trendy restaurants nearby to keep you full. The founders of Blake Street Tavern couldn’t have picked a more perfect location to put, hands down, the best gaming bar in all of Denver!

Final Thoughts
If this review hasn’t made you a fan of Blake Street Tavern, then I don’t know what will! Bring yourself, bring your friends, bring your date, you are guaranteed a great time when coming to this bar. The food and drink is great and all but the games… You can play anything your little heart desires which is so fun when with friends. Denver Party Ride takes people to a lot of locations throughout the Denver area and we always recommend making a stop at Blake Street Tavern when renting a party bus. It’s a great time, good people run it, and it will become your go to bar while in Denver!
